Telehealth Pulmonology Physician (MD/DO)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonology Physician (MD/DO) to provide telemedicine inpatient roundings for adult patients in a skilled nursing / rehabilitation setting in California. This is a part-time, Saturday-only role with a highly flexible workflow designed for efficiency and work-life balance.
This opportunity is ideal for pulmonologists looking to add a consistent, low-burden weekend telehealth role without weekday obligations or on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tele-pulmonology inpatient roundings for adult patients in a skilled nursing / rehabilitation setting
- Conduct patient evaluations, follow-ups, and pulmonary management via telemedicine
- Complete all clinical notes and documentation within 24 hours of each encounter
- Collaborate as needed with on-site clinical staff to support patient care
Schedule & Workflow
- Coverage Day: Every Saturday
- Schedule Flexibility:
- No fixed start time
- Providers may log in at any time on Saturday
- All patients are typically seen in one efficient session
- Volume: Average weekly patient volume; visits are generally brief and focused
- Visit Length: Typically 10–15 minutes per patient
Once Saturday roundings are completed, no additional coverage is required for the remainder of the week.
Requirements
- MD or DO only
- Active California medical license
- Active DEA
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
- Comfortable providing inpatient-style care via telemedicine
- Prior SNF or inpatient rounding experience preferred but not required
