Psychiatrist – Inpatient Telepsychiatry (Remote, NY License Required)

Provide inpatient psychiatric care remotely with a 7-on/7-off schedule, on-site NP support, and a fully collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract (7-on, 7-off Schedule)
Position Overview
Alina Telehealth is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist with an active New York medical license for a rewarding inpatient telepsychiatry position.
You’ll join a collaborative care team providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and daily follow-up care — all from a fully remote setting.
Schedule
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Monday–Sunday)
- Consistent, ongoing rotation for schedule stability
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for adult patients
- Manage medication adjustments and ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with an on-site Nurse Practitioner who assists with evaluations and daily caseload management
- Participate in treatment team meetings (10:00–11:00 AM EST)
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Handle restraint orders and second certificates when required (separately compensated)
- Ensure all patients are seen within shift hours
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted New York Medical License
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Prior inpatient psychiatry or telepsychiatry experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
