Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Inpatient Telepsychiatry (Remote, Maine License Preferred)

Position Overview
Alina Telehealth is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Maine to provide remote inpatient psychiatric consult coverage.
This is a fully remote telepsychiatry position that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a collaborative, multi-state behavioral health team.
Providers with compact licensure are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role may expand into OH, TX, IN, KS, and MO.
Key Details
- Role: Inpatient Telepsychiatry PMHNP
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts (flexible rotation; minimum of 2 shifts per week preferred)
- Coverage Type: Inpatient & emergency department consults
- Consult Volume: Approximately 80–100 consults per month (may exceed based on census)
- Work Format: Fully remote (telepsychiatry)
- EMR: Cerner (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Conduct telepsychiatry consults for inpatient and ER patients.
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up assessments.
- Collaborate with a supervising physician for oversight and case review.
- Complete documentation and charting accurately in the EMR system.
- Respond promptly to consultation requests during assigned shifts.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Maine medical license (compact license preferred).
- Board Certified / Board Eligible PMHNP.
- Active DEA license.
- Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry or telepsychiatry preferred.
- Willingness to obtain additional licenses in compact or expansion states.
