Psychiatrist for Inpatient Telerole (NY Licensed)
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist with an active New York license for an exciting telemedicine role in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
Position Details:
- Role: Inpatient Psychiatrist (Telemedicine)
- Location: Remote
- Schedule:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
- Monday to Sunday
- Patients: Adults (Average 15 patients per day)
- Patient Types: Up to 5 initial evaluations per day, followed by follow-up visits for the remainder.
- Support: There is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) on-site who will assist in evaluating patients, reducing the overall patient load for the psychiatrist.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular evaluations and follow-up appointments.
- Prescribe medications as needed per patient treatment plans.
- Attend treatment team meetings from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST.
- Charting all notes in the EMR system.
- Occasionally handle restraint orders and 2nd certificates, which are paid separately.
- All patients will need to be seen on the same day during shift hours.
Unit Details:
- Inpatient unit with 28 beds.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid New York state medical license.
- Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry.
